My name is Adam Jackson and I was born in a village near Mattishall. Coming to be living here in Ashill has been a strange occurrence and you know how you just find yourself in places, well this might be one of those times. God moves in mysterious ways! My church before moving here was Proclaimers Church in Norwich where I learnt a lot about the workings of a church and multimedia etc. (a lot of what I find myself doing here now).
Coming here to Ashill has really been an eye opener. I’ve learnt a lot about the way a church operates and about the importance of being creative. Its also really good to be part of the massive thing God is doing here in this rural Norfolk village, and it shows that you don’t have to be in a demographically dense city like London or New York for God to still be able to move. Its strange his disregard for statistics. Also I’m learning more and more (and it wasn’t immediately obvious) that I’m now really part of a front line in the place where Christianity is going in the United Kingdom in the 21st Century. I don’t think many people realise what this church is about or what it has done in its history! I found out from opinion forums and articles in papers like the Telegraph before I really found out the impact the Fountain of Life church has had (and is having) on the theatre of modern Church, not just in Norfolk but all across England.
So here I am and we are all settled into our wonderful new Worship complex – the Well and its easy to forget just how new the place is, and I look around now to see that already the church has grown to fill its new building. Perhaps a stadium next time?
