The meaning of the painting is simply that we gather in the place of prayer in order to be equipped and sent out into the world. The word of God and prayer are key. As we devote time to be with God and dwell in his word so we prepare ourselves for going out into the day ahead with everything we need to stand in the spiritual battle and be ready to respond to whatever opportunity God puts across our path. 

The back-pack is a symbol of our spiritual equipment but is also intended to be practical. On any journey you look at a map and pack your bags before you go out; it’s the same with our daily life, you look at your map “The Bible” and prepare yourself before you go out into your day. 

The word of God and prayer are key: the Word, Jesus Christ, has been in existence before the dawn of time and prayer is communication with God through the person of Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit - the author of the word of Life.
