Our History

Our Worship Centre

The Fountain of Life was planted in 1996 as a missionary congregation of the Church of England outside the parish system, with a particular calling to evangelism in rural Norfolk. The congregation has got involved at different levels with many initiatives, both within the church and the community. Before the new worship centre was built the congregation met at the Wells-Cole Community Centre, Saham Toney.

In the year 2000 a former garage property in Ashill was purchased with a view to converting it into a worship centre. With the generosity of the congregation and the blessing of God the worship centre was completed in October 2004.   The complex now comprises a worship centre that can accommodate up to 250 people with further smaller meeting rooms and offices available. Ashill is one of the highest inhabited points in Norfolk, being on the southern end of the Cromer Ridge. For many years we have sensed that the Lord has a purpose in planting a group of his people here to shine the light of the glory of the Gospel across the surrounding area.
