HOPE 08 Publication

I am writing to you as an Associate Group or Champion of HOPE 08, firstly to thank you for all the encouragement and support that has enabled us to reach this stage.  It has really been an extraordinary journey as the vision for HOPE has been shared and the church of Jesus Christ right across the UK has responded so positively.

 I am writing to ask of you what we are asking of all our Associates/Champions.

As you are almost certainly aware, over the first 4 months of 2007 a major HOPE publication has been written, drawing on contributions from scores of writers, some of the most effective practitioners of grass roots mission right across the country.  The end result is a 160 page full colour publication, packed with creative ideas on how to prepare for and deliver HOPE in villages, towns and cities all over the country.  While it has been written with leaders in mind, it is leaders in the broadest sense of the word.  Anyone who is considering initiating a HOPE event, however large or small, will find great ideas and practical advice to further support and encourage their planning.  Written with a magazine design style, you can dip in and out of the sections which are relevant to you.

  All the hard work and tight deadlines have been to ensure that the publication is available by 1 July.  Through our partnership with STL/Authentic we are able to make it available at cost (£2.00 each), thus ensuring that it can be distributed in its thousands.

 So this leads me to my request.  Would you please consider the following: -

1.       Consider the strategic use of this HOPE 08 publication within your network/sphere of influence.

2.       Consider a bulk purchase for distribution to key leaders.  We could organise bulk delivery to you, free of charge, or directly to your contact list (there is an additional post/packaging charge for less than 13 books to one location).

3.       Profile the publication via your website or indeed any other communication mechanism which works within your network/sphere of influence.

 Having read through the copy, I am tremendously excited by the potential of this publication and believe it will provide a wonderful means of maximising the HOPE vision.  Already one organisation (the Salvation Army) has indicated they would like to purchase 1,000 copies to distribute to their leaders.  Let me ask you to consider whether you could invest in a similar way to get this key resource out.

The attached postcard gives you a flavour of what the publication will look like, while the response form (also attached) gives you an opportunity to order in bulk and ensure that they are with you at the beginning of July.
