As part of their Winter Tour we are delighted to announce that KCO will be performing a Teddy Concert called “A Russian Adventure” in Ashill, and an Evening Concert called “Russian Nights” in Norwich. The Russian theme with works by Tchaikovsky and other great Russians is a vehicle for the orchestra’s renowned humour, passion and depth and enables the orchestra to share their unique professional and spiritual story in a moving and accessible way. There will also be seasonal Christmas elements and a few surprises in the Teddy Concert.

The Teddy Concert is uniquely interactive, educational and at times hilarious, and is regarded by many as the finest in the country as shown by this quote from a BBC producer:

This outstanding professional orchestra gives the most original and exciting children’s concerts I have ever heard. Relaxed and informal, its imaginative programming is brilliantly presented. Way better than anything I have ever seen in Central London.” (Helen Mansfield, Producer, BBC TV Classical Music)

The Orchestra

The orchestra itself has had many glowing references including:

Kings Chamber Orchestra are professional, creative, inspiring, entertaining, but more than that, they enable listeners to tune in to the melody of Heaven” J. John

There is no orchestra I would rather hear then the Kings Chamber Orchestra. I have never come across a group of musicians so exceptional and technically skilled and yet so passionate and spiritual. I unreservedly recommend them.” Dr Mark Stibbe, Vicar at St Andrews Chorleywood, best selling author and international conference speaker.

We consistently see God’s presence touching hearts through their music” Lynn Green, International Chairman, YWAM

Formed in 1985 by award winning cellist Gerard Le Feuvre, the King's Chamber Orchestra is an outstanding professional orchestra who perform many times throughout the year in London, the Home Counties and occasionally abroad. Regular concerts as a chamber orchestra began in 1990 to support the Christian charitable work of Youth With A Mission. Consequently the orchestra established a regular home in YWAM’s Harpenden base, which enabled KCO to experiment with informal concerts that were hilarious, accessible, and above all highly-charged with the orchestra’s own contagious faith. Today the orchestra gives around forty performances a year. All the members of the orchestra are committed Christians and friends whom Gerard has gathered while freelancing with some of the finest orchestras in the country. The group functions as a community, supporting one another with prayer, worship and friendship throughout its working life.
